One diary for the care team

Make the handoff a glance, not a briefing.

Share feeding, sleep, diapers, medicine and the rest of the day with your partner or another caregiver through Apple iCloud.

Baby care is often shared in shifts. One person feeds, another settles the next nap, and somebody else needs to know whether medicine was already given. Messages can help, but they quickly become a second record that somebody has to maintain.

One current diary is easier than repeated updates

Mommy Shared Access lets you invite a partner or another caregiver to the same baby diary. Both people can add activities and see recent entries. Feeding, sleep, diaper changes, pumping, temperature, medicine and growth stay in one timeline instead of being split across phones and chats.

A better handoff questionInstead of “Can you remember everything that happened?”, the next caregiver can ask only what the diary cannot show: how the baby felt, what was unusual and what needs attention.

How Shared Access works

  1. The baby’s owner creates an invitation in Mommy.
  2. The owner sends the invitation link to the person they choose.
  3. The invited caregiver accepts on a compatible Apple device.
  4. Both people can contribute to the shared diary through iCloud.

Mommy does not require a separate app account. The shared baby diary uses Apple’s iCloud infrastructure and is available to the people the owner invites.

Choose what a caregiver needs

A useful handoff is short. The recent feed, last diaper, current sleep and a medicine record may be enough. Mommy keeps those activities together, but the family still decides what to track and what to discuss directly.

For a nanny, grandparent or other caregiver, agree on simple conventions: which activity type to use, whether amounts matter, and when a note or direct message is still necessary.

Privacy is part of the invitation

Invite only people you trust with your baby’s care information. If shared access should end, manage the sharing relationship in the app. Apple ID and iCloud availability are required for sync, and changes may need an internet connection to reach the other device.

Mommy’s limited analytics, diagnostics and purchase services are separate from the baby diary and are described in the Privacy Policy.

Keep the system useful when something goes wrong

If shared entries are not updating, first check that both devices have internet access, are signed into iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled. Open Mommy and allow a little time for synchronization. The support page contains the current contact route if the problem continues.
